The architectural monument of mahogany thirteen meters high, and weighing about 30 tons, was created in 1983-1984 by Transcarpathian sculptors Ivan Brovdi and Mykhailo Sanych. The artists embodied the folk legend of Vyr shepherd, and his beloved Syn in it, as, it is believed, that the lake appeared due to this sad love story.
