The route begins right at the exit to the checkpoint. A highway leads to the lake, and a footpath through the majestic Carpathian forests begins to the left of the checkpoint. In warm weather you can find blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, spurge, as well as strawberries, foalfoot, and mountain arnica in light areas along the route of the trail.
Peter and Paul Apostle Chapel
Peter and Paul Apostle Chapel is the first stop on the route. It is built of wood in the Gothic style, and is located near the source of healing water.
After 1200 meters from the checkpoint, you will get to the observation deck, which offers a panoramic view of Synevyr Lake. You can also buy souvenirs, or drink Carpathian tea here.
A place where you can relax for a while, and drink clean spring water that will satisfy your thirst and restore strength.
The architectural monument of mahogany thirteen meters high, and weighing about 30 tons, was created in 1983-1984 by Transcarpathian sculptors Ivan Brovdi and Mykhailo Sanych. The artists embodied the folk legend of Vyr shepherd, and his beloved Syn in it, as, it is believed, that the lake appeared due to this sad love story.
The Third Stream
From this point of the route, a completely different view to the lake opens. This landscape is especially beautiful when the sun goes down.
1000 m Above Sea Level
The round height mark is one of the favorite places to take a commemorative picture of a trip to Synevyr.
